How to save money during Chinese New Year
Thursday, February 11, 2010
The Chinese New year are coming in 2 more days, and for many people, that means spending . While this can be a hectic and expensive time of year, you can actually find ways to help reduce spending and stress.
Below are the lists to help you save money during this Chinese New Year.
1. As I know most of you are going to use the PLUS highway. Why don't you balik kampung after 12 am.PLUS is giving 20% discount for you if you are travelling between 12 am to 7 am.
2. Keep your speed limit, you wouldn't want to be summon by the police right?
3. Reduce the amount of what you put in an ang pow. The thought that matters.
4. Leave your credit card at home, this is to avoid overspending.
5. Keep your cars in tip top condition and the tyres are inflated. The cost of repairing a major problem like an overhaul of your engine if your timing belt snapped is more than your regular maintenance. And if your tires inflated, you will reduce petrol consumption.
6. Have your big night reunion and dinner at home to savour your mom's cooking. I know you miss them.
That's all. To all my Chinese friends and bloggers. Happy Chinese New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai

Hehe, I wonder if we get onto PLUS before 12am, and exit PLUS at 12.30 am, will the discount be applied? Haha
